The NBC composite filter is designed to extract hazardous elements from the air (i.e. nuclear, biological and chemical agents). The filter is a self-contained sealed canister comprising of two concentric elements; an ultra high efficiency particulate element; and a charcoal anit- wapour filter, both contained within cyldrical housing. Although the aiflow is radial through the beds the inlet and outlet are axial. When used in a positive pressure plenum (i.e. air that has already been filtered) all seals made during installation become fail safe. All filters are testsed for particulate and gas penetration.
